Jane Matthews started Ready Set Show as a way to use her skills as a former Change Manager for a large corporation. It was her job, traveling around the US to help clients set up systems and projects to integrate into the new way way of doing things. She was responsible for teaching and training the staff to use and profit from the new systems and to make them feel comfortable with change. It was her goal to make the changes fun and exciting, not always an easy task!.
Before she launched her new Business READY SET SHOW, Jane took three months off and moved to Ireland. One of the many projects she took part in while there was a London to Mongolia Car Race. The Mongorally.com ( to see pictures of Jane and the car) This race is for Charity and covers 6,000 miles in a one liter car (about the engine size of your average lawnmower) Jane was the Team Marshall and did much of the background stuff to get her team and the car ready for the 6,000 mile road rally. The car, a 1996 Russian mad Lada, was purchased site unseen on e bay from a man in Wales, and was driven by Jane through the crowded streets of Hyde Park , London trying to teach the team how to drive a no power steering or no power breaks pices of junk that was destinned to break down for the forth and final time in Ubekestan.
The fun and excitment of the Rally helped to show the real value of team work. How strangers can work together towards a common goal, often overcoming impossible odds. How border crosssing need bribes in Russia and how a broken car can be traded for tickets home.
Working with clients Jane has see how a room or a home can be transformed when strangers who can become team mates work towards a common goal. And have fun doing it.
